About Marthasville, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Marthasville is a city in Warren County, Missouri located approximately forty-five minutes west of the greater St. Louis metropolitan area.  The city was founded in 1817 by Dr. John Young, who named the settlement for his wife, and later became home to a large number of German immigrants who are credited with introducing the winemaking industry to the area.  Daniel Boone and his family lived in the Marthasville area during the early 1800s; he and his wife were buried just outside the perimeter of the city.  Marthasville was also a stopping off point for the Lewis & Clark Expedition in 1804 as they passed through the city on their journey up the Missouri and again as they journeyed back in 1806.

Marthasville enjoys a continental climate, which brings about changes to the weather with each new season.  The city’s hot, humid summers and cold, occasionally snowy winters make Marthasville a beautiful city no matter the season!

The historic Katy State Park Hiking and Biking Trail and Lewis and Clark Trail both pass through the city of Marthasville.  Katy Trail is a 225-mile hiking and bicycling path that stretches across the state of Missouri as it winds its way along the corridor of the former Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad.

The city’s rich German heritage is celebrated with the annual Deutsch Country Days held each October, where the lifestyle of the early German immigrants is recreated in a festive and fun atmosphere featuring traditional German music, arts and crafts, and authentic German sausages.  The Grabs Museum was the former home of German immigrant August F. Grabs who settled in Marthasville in 1834 and served as the city’s postmaster and justice of the peace.

It is easy to see that the history of Marthasville is important to the city and to its upstanding citizenry who are proud of their heritage and history!
