About Union, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The city of Union is located in east-central Missouri on the banks of the Bourbeuse River approximately thirty minutes west of the greater St. Louis metropolitan area.  Union is the county seat of Franklin County and has a population of almost 11,000 people.  Established in 1825 and named for the ideal of political unity, Union is the fastest growing community in Franklin County and proud of its ranking as “One of the Top 10 Best Small Towns in the United States!”

Union has a continental climate that brings about regular seasonal changes to the weather.  With its hot, humid summers and cold winters, Union is beautiful no matter what the season!

The city is home to a number of pleasurable recreational attractions, including the Union City Park and Union Splash-N-Swimplex.  Union City Park is located in the heart of the city and features two large playgrounds, baseball and softball fields, basketball and tennis courts, and a lighted walking path.  The Swimplex is located adjacent to the park and features a large swimming pool with waterslides and facilities for private parties.  For golfers, the Birch Creek Golf Club features an excellent 18-hole golf course that provides enjoyable golf for players of all skill levels.

For outdoor adventure, the Meramec State Park and Meramec Caverns can’t be beat.  Located a short thirty-minute drive from Union, both facilities offer a number of recreational pursuits for those who enjoy the outdoors.  Graced by the majestic Meramec River as it flows along the bluffs and caves overlooking the parkland, the Meramec State Park features trails for hiking and biking, rafting and canoeing on the river, swimming areas, and a large aquarium located in the Meramec visitor center.  Meramec Caverns is the largest public cave in Missouri and features spectacular vistas of the colorful mineral formations held within the labyrinth of underground caverns.  For anglers and birdwatchers, Union City Lake features three-acres of fishing, hiking, picnicking, and bird watching just three-minutes from the center of the city.

Naturally, any city located so near to the ESPN designated “Ultimate Sports City” has to enjoy a special connection to the ten-time World Series Champion and 2011 World Series contending St. Louis Cardinals!  Union’s very own resident and local businessman John Moroney had the distinguished honor of throwing out the first pitch at the 2011 World Series opening game in St. Louis!  Go Cardinals!
